Members of Parliamentary Friendship Group with Canada Meet with Canadian Ambassador to Serbia
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Canada, Zoran Bojanic, and Parliamentary Friendship Group members met today, at the National Assembly House, with the Canadian Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Roman Waschuk.
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group Zoran Bojanic thanked the Canadian Ambassador for Canada’s donations to Serbia particularly those for infrastructural projects and rehabilitation of health care institutions.
Ambassador Waschuk informed the PFG members that the Canadian companies doing business in Serbia have sent donations for the rehabilitation of the homesteads affected by the floods. He said that Canada was interested in the realisation of joint projects such as the construction of hydroelectric power plants, opining that the cooperation between the two countries could be furthered in the sphere of infrastructural projects.
The PFG members asked the Canadian Ambassador to come and visit other Serbian towns which, they said, could open up possibilities for various types of economic cooperation and cooperation in the area of renewable energy sources.
