Members of PFG with United Arab Emirates Meet with UAE Ambassador in Belgrade
The members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the United Arab Emirates met today, at the National Assembly House, with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Belgrade, H.E. Juma Rashed Al Dhaheri.
Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, Head of the PFG with the United Arab Emirates, welcomed the Ambassador stressing that the two countries enjoy the highest level of diplomatic relations. She also shared her pleasure at the establishment of the PFG with the United Arab Emirates in the current Serbian parliamentary legislature and the MPs great interest to become members.
The PFG Head thanked the Emirates for the aid they extended to Serbia during the May 2014 floods and in the recovery of the flooded areas. She stressed that she is sure the cooperation and deepening of friendship between the two nations is approaching a very successful period.
Juma Rashed Al Dhaheri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Belgrade, thanked the PFG for the invitation, highlighting the firm friendship between the Republic of Serbia and the United Arab Emirates, grounded in all-round successful cooperation. He announced the coming month’s reciprocal visits of the two countries’ high dignitaries, especially the visit of the National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic. The Ambassador stressed that the United Arab Emirates strive to expand relations through investments and humanitarian work, as well as promote relations at the cultural level.
Finally, the attending agreed that Serbia and UAE’s parliamentary friendship groups should exchange visits with the aim of enhancing overall bilateral cooperation.
