The members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Slovakia met today, at the National Assembly House, with a delegation of the Slovak Parliament’s friendship group with the Western Balkan countries, in official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
The Head of the PFG with Slovakia Aleksandra Maletic thanked Slovakia for its principled position and non-recognition of the self-proclaimed independence of Kosovo, as well as the support in the implementation of the Brussels Agreement, especially concerning the establishment of the community of Serb municipalities. She added that Slovakia strongly supports the reform processes in Serbia and thanked the country for its treatment of the Slovak national minority and the opportunity for Slovak children to receive education in their mother tongue. She urged for an overall intensification of relations and invited the PFG members to visit Slovakia.
