MPs Receive International Democrat Union Delegation

MPs Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, Dr Vladimir Orlic and Vesna Markovic received a delegation of the International Democrat Union, currently visiting Serbia, at the National Assembly.


Stressing the importance of the international alliance of 80 centre-right and moderate right-wing political parties from 63 different countries, Dr Aleksandar Martinovic presented Serbia’s internal and foreign policy priorities.

The MPs informed the visitors that the Serbian Government and National Assembly’s priorities are continued economic and financial reform, continuation of the dialogue with the provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina, regional cooperation, EU accession and maintaining good relations with China and the Russian Federation.

The guests were also briefed on the National Assembly’s legislative activities relating to the European integration process, as well as trade, international security and combating corruption.

The IDU delegation said they supported Serbia’s European integration process, as well as the regional policy of peace and stability.
