MP Dr Vladimir Orlic Meets with First Secretary of French Embassy in Belgrade
MP Dr Vladimir Orlic met today at the National Assembly House with the First Secretary of the French Embassy in Belgrade Mr. Maxime Reynaud.
Orlic said that the economic circumstances in Serbia have improved considerably, evidenced by the positive comments in the European Commission progress reports on Serbia, in the sense of budget deficit reduction, improvement of the investment climate and creation of jobs. He also said that Serbia’s European path is strategically important because it enables both closer cooperation with European partners and internal reform of the state and society. He finally expressed his belief that the relations between Serbia and France would continue to follow an upward trend in 2017, at the parliamentary and all other levels.
Reynaud said that France would continue to follow and support Serbia's Euro-integration process, especially its economic progress, saying he was pleased at the idea of future joint projects and strengthening of economic cooperation at mutual benefit. At the same time he took the opportunity to congratulate the recent holidays hoping that the successful cooperation and traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and France continue to develop in 2017.
