Linta Receives President of Croatian Pensioners’ Association

MP Miodrag Linta, Chairman of the Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, met today with Jovan Kablar, President of the Croatian Pensioners’ Association, Dr Dusko Dimitrijevic, scientific advisor at the Institute of International Politics and Economy, and Radmila Niksic, Deputy Director of the Agency for Restitution.

The guests briefed MP Linta on the problems of the Croatian Pensioners’ Association with a special focus on the problem of unpaid pensions the Association has with the country of origin.

Linta said that after the war the Republic of Croatia has been preventing the return of property and acquired rights to the exiled Serbs and other injured parties, as well as the return of property of legal entities from the Republic of Serbia. He believes that insisting on a consistent implementation of the Vienna Convention on Succession should be a state and national issue. The importance of drafting a Strategy for the implementation of outstanding succession issues was also stressed.

Finally, Linta said that he would do all in his power to help find a way to solve the problems mentioned.
