Librarians visit National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia

The Chairman of the National Assembly, Predrag Markovic, today met participants in the international conference on “Children and libraries: researching reading, traditional values and technological innovations”.


The Chairman of the National Assembly, Predrag Markovic, today met participants in the international conference on “Children and libraries: researching reading, traditional values and technological innovations”.

The conference is being organised by the Faculty of Philology of the Universityof Belgrade, the Serbian Librarians’ Society, the Literature and Art Institute, the Experimental Phonetics and Speech Pathology Institute, the Novi Sad National Library and the Djuradj Crnojevic National Library, based in Cetinje, Montenegro.

The guests expressed their hope that the National Library would adopt a Libraries Act in the near future.
