Jordi Roca, New Rapporteur on Kosovo-Metohija

At the meeting of the Political Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Jordi Roca was elected the new rapporteur to compile a report on the situation in Kosovo-Metohija, specifically human rights, the rule of law and meeting Council of Europe standards.

Jordi Roca, member of the Spanish delegation, was elected rapporteur by a secret vote, against Mogens Jensen from Denmark.

The Serbian delegation managed to dispute the candidacy of Mogens Jensen who had previously shown his bias on several occasions by favouring the requests of the delegation of Kosovo-Metohija’s parliament and obviously putting himself in the midst of a conflict of interest.

He also voted against the two delegations’ talks on how the Pristina delegation is to be represented in the PACE, at the same time completely ignoring the Serbian side’s stance.

The deadline to complete the PACE report on the situation in Kosovo-Metohija is two years.
