The main topic of the 66th PABSEC General Assembly is "Cooperation with the European Union and other international and regional organizations".

In the general debate, the heads of the PABSEC standing delegations addressed the assembly. In her speech, Jasmina Obradovic stressed that membership in the European Union is Serbia’s strategic commitment and the highest priority of its foreign policy. She emphasised that strengthening cooperation between the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and the European Union is the path to creating a more stable, prosperous and connected region. Joint projects, institutional exchange and partnership with the European Union are key to economic growth and improving the living standards of the citizens living in our region. Therefore, the parliamentary dimension of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation is of exceptional importance, because parliaments, as representative bodies, have a special responsibility in strengthening trust, promoting transparency and encouraging cooperation within the region.
