IAO International Secretariat, Committee Chairpersons and Rapporteurs Has Video Meeting

MP Aleksandar Cotric took part in the video meeting of the International Secretariat, Committee Chairpersons and Rapporteurs of the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (IAO).

Cotric said that the meeting of the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy proves that it is possible to respond to the many challenges of the modern world, both social and natural such as the Corona virus pandemic. “This dangerous infections disease just slowed us down, but did not altogether stop our activities”, said Cotric.

He praised the International Secretariat of the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy for everything its members and staff have done in the pandemic, primarily taking care of the lives and physical and spiritual health of people as the highest values.

The members of the International Secretariat, Committee Chairpersons and Rapporteurs of the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy denounced the decision of the Turkish court to convert the world heritage monument of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul back into a place of worship.
