Head of Parliamentary Friendship Group with Sweden Talks to Swedish Delegation
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Sweden, Dr Milorad Mijatovic, met today, at the National Assembly House, with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden in Belgrade H.E. Bertil Christer Asp and a delegation of the Swedish Social Democratic Party.
The Swedish Ambassador agreed that the relations between the two countries are quite good, highlighting the importance of cooperation between Serbia and Sweden, particularly the exchange of bilateral contacts on all levels. Ambassador Asp said the exchange of experiences and improvement of bilateral relations is greatly important for Serbia now, at the time of the EU accession talks.
In the course of the meeting, the officials also exchanged experiences with the representatives of the Swedish Social Democratic Party on how to boost interparliamentary cooperation, especially at the level of parliamentary friendship groups. The officials discussed promoting cooperation in the spheres of education and innovation and exchanged views on the models of cooperation between the state and trade unions. The meeting was also attended by Goran Milic, representative of the Association of Autonomous Trade Unions of Vojvodina.
MPs Prof. Dr Vesna Besarovic, Prof. Dr Branko Djurovic, Milena Bicanin and Dr Ivan Bauer took part in the meeting as well.
