Head of PFG with Iran Meets with Iranian Delegation
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Iran Meho Omerovic met today at the National Assembly House with a delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by Dr Ahmad Mazani, member of the Iranian Parliament.
Iranian parliamentarian Dr Ahmad Mazani said that interparliamentary cooperation greatly contributes to the dialogue between the two countries. He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran had secured 10 scholarships and raised the quota for Serbian students and thus contributed to advancing educational and cultural cooperation. Mazani said he would invest more efforts into improving cooperation between the two parliaments.
Finally, the Head of the PFG with Iran said that Serbia, as a country that guarantees equality among its citizens of different faiths, would strive to maintain close relations and boost cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
