Head of PFG with France Meets with French Senate’s European Affairs Committee Member

The Head of the PFG with France Natasa Vuckovic met with Olivier Cadic, member of the French Senate’s Committee for European Affairs currently in official visit to the Republic of Serbia.


Cadic said that he was visiting the countries of the Western Balkans and that he endorsed the accession of all the Western Balkans states to the European Union. He said that the objective of his visit is to explain to his compatriots that the accession of the countries of the region is a boon for the Union, mentioning Croatia as a positive example. Cadic added that that Serbia has made considerable progress on its path to European integration since his last visit and that it is a reliable partner. He once again highlighted Serbia’s management of the migration crisis, adding that many EU countries would do well to follow its example.

Natasa Vuckovic said that France plays a pivotal role in the EU integration process of Serbia and the countries of the Western Balkans. She added that she represents the pro-European opposition in Serbia and endorses the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and went on to say that it could be more inclusive as regards the opposition’s participation in it. She also said that the issue of Kosovo is very important and necessitates social dialogue.
