Head of NARS Standing Delegation to Parliamentary Assembly of Francophonie Talks to Francophonie Representative

Head of the Standing Delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophonie, Natasa Vuckovic received Stephane Lopez, representative of the International Organisation of Francophonie, at the National Assembly House.



Head of the Standing Delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophonie, Natasa Vuckovic received Stephane Lopez, representative of the International Organisation of Francophonie, at the National Assembly House.

In the meeting, the officials discussed the participation of the Republic of Serbia in the activities of the International Organisation of Francophonie, considering that Serbia has the status of standing observer. In addition, they emphasised the importance of the French language learning programme for Serbian civil servants, also mentioning the Memorandum on the French language learning programme for administrative employees of the Republic of Serbia signed between the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the International Organisation of Francophonie.

Natasa Vuckovic stressed that French is an international language, language of diplomacy spoken on all the continents. She informed the guest that in February 2010 the NARS created a delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophonie and that the delegation members would make the effort to establish cooperation on the level of legislative government as well.
