The Head of the Economic Caucus said how important it is to exchange experience with the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce because that means, he said, getting information from the field, the very heart of the economy, adding that intensifying communication between the legislative power and entrepreneurs could result in better legislation.

The President of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce Milivoje Miletic listed improving economic diplomacy and launching of dual education as key points in the creation of a favourable business environment. He agreed with Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic that the inclusion of entrepreneurs into legislative drafting is crucial for economic recovery.

The series of constructive suggestion the entrepreneurs presented to the Head of the Economic Caucus included changes of the old practice to benefit domestic producers, therefore, among other things, they suggested legally regulating the obligation to recruit domestic producers when engaging foreign contractors.

The representatives of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce and the Head of the Economic Caucus agreed to, at the next meeting, address issues relating to specific areas and include representatives of the relevant ministries so as to fully establish communication between the executive power and the entrepreneurs.

The meeting was attended by Svetozar Krstic, Executive Director of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce; Branislav Bacovic, Transporsped; Diana Gligorijevic, Telegrup; Dobroslav Bojovic, Napred; Slobodan Babic, Elektromasinogradnja business association; Milije Ercevic, IVA 28 and Bozidar Stoiljkovic, Bimteks and President of the Board of the Group for textile, leather, clothing and footwear at Belgrade Chamber of Commerce.
