On 14 June, the informal Green Parliamentary Group had a cross-sectoral meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The topic of the meeting was the presentation of the Draft Air Protection Programme in the Republic of Serbia with an action plan, as well as the Ministry’s activities in the field. The Analysis of the Air Protection Legislative Framework was also presented at the meeting.
The meeting was opened by introductory addresses of Lidija Radulovic on behalf of the Green Parliamentary Group Secretariat, MP and Green Parliamentary Group Coordinator Dubravka Filipovski and Zorica Korac on behalf of the United Nations Development Program.
Assistant Minister of Environmental Protection Aleksandra Imsaragic Djuric then presented the Ministry’s activities in the field of air protection, while the experts who participated in the drafting of the Air Protection Programme in the Republic of Serbia presented the Draft Programme itself. The attending MPs had a significant number of questions about the content of the plan, with measures of financial support to the citizens emerged as a key topic. The meeting ended with the presentation of the Analysis of the Air Protection Legislative Framework by its author Ognjan Pantic.
