Green Parliamentary Group Marks International Day for Biological Diversity

The Green Parliamentary Group marked the International Day for Biological Diversity at the National Assembly today by a meeting and talk on the different aspects of biological diversity.


The launch of a project to be realized with the support of the German GiZ Open Regional Fund for South-East Europe – Biodiversity was announced at the meeting.

The members of the Green Parliamentary Group discussed the importance of biodiversity, its benefits and future dangers, and what the decision-makers can do to promote and preserve the wealth of the natural world.

The participants also discussed the informal parliamentary group’s future activities toward improving its operation, and appointed Jasmina Karanac, Nada Lazic and Zarko Micin as the group’s coordinating team for the coming period.
