Gojkovic in Russia – Addressing State Duma and Session of Russia-Serbia Parliamentary Commission

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic will be heading the Serbian Assembly’s delegation to the Third Session of the Joint Cooperation Commission of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in Moscow, 22-23 October 2018.


At the invitation of the Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, the Serbian Assembly Speaker will address the members of the State Duma at a plenary session.

Gojkovic and Volodin will also have a bilateral meeting and attend the opening of the session of the two parliaments’ Cooperation Commission.

At the Cooperation Commission session the members of the two parliaments will discuss the state-of-play of the interparliamentary relations, economic cooperation, digital economy, cultural cooperation and the global challenges facing Europe and the Balkans.

The session will be chaired by the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, Commission deputy co-chair, Ivan Ivanoviсh Melnikov and the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Djordje Milicevic.

The National Assembly delegation also comprises Zarko Obradovic, Snezana B. Petrovic, Aleksandra Tomic, Mirko Krlic, Milovan Drecun, Jasmina Obradovic and Dragomir Karic.

The Joint Cooperation Commission of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation was established under the auspices of the Cooperation Agreement and Agreement on the Establishment of the Commission. The Commission had its first session in Moscow on 17 December 2015 and the second in Belgrade on 5 June 2017.
