Gojkovic Severely Condemns Assassination Attempt on Vucic

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic severely condemns the attempted assassination of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and the attack on the hand of reconciliation he extended on the behalf of Serbia by coming to Potocari.

This brutal act of violence, condemned by all people of good will, is an act of disrespect to the man who had extended a hand of cooperation and reconciliation.

We hope the region will, in the future, have the maturity to accept a noble act such as paying respect to the victims with dignity, for the sake of our common future.

Despite the stone thrown on the Prime Minister’s hand of peace in Potocari today, Serbia will continue to pursue its policy of peace, good-neighbourly relations and cooperation in the region for the benefit of all who live in it.
