Gojkovic said that Serbia is interested in furthering economic relations with South Korea and briefed the visiting parliamentarians on Serbia’s ongoing reforms.
Gojkovic stressed that the Serbian Assembly has passed numerous laws, among them laws on labour, privatisation, planning and construction, by which Serbia wishes to attract foreign investment and ensure economic growth.
Shin Ki-nam said that there is room to strengthen economic ties, stressing that the delegation members would encourage South Korean investors to visit Serbia and learn about the advantages of investment into the country.
Gojkovic and Shin Ki-nam agreed that the two countries share good and friendly relations and that today’s visit, marking the 25th anniversary of these ties, would serve to boost overall and parliamentary cooperation.
They also said that parliamentary cooperation should be intensified, and Shin Ki-nam invited the Serbian Assembly Speaker to come and visit the South Korean Parliament and discuss further parliamentary cooperation and prospects for the development of economic relations, which Gojkovic accepted.
