Gojkovic said that today’s visit is especially important for the intensification of parliamentary contact, mentioning that next year’s 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries is an excellent opportunity to strengthen parliamentary cooperation via visits at the highest parliamentary level.

Gojkovic said that the cooperation between the parliamentary working bodies and friendship group as well as at the multilateral level, especially within the Inter-Parliamentary Union, could stand to be improved, adding that the Serbian Assembly is ready to contribute to the improvement of economic cooperation through the ratification of agreements.

Gojkovic and Park said that there is ample potential for the development of economic cooperation and the Serbian Parliament Speaker declared the country ready for new investments from South Korean companies. Park said that he is well aware of the advantages of investing into Serbia which he would be happy to present to South Korean companies and lauded today’s laying of a cornerstone for a new South Korean investment in Zrenjanin.

The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Korea invited the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to come and visit the Republic of Korea all the better to advance cooperation between the two countries.
