Gojkovic praised the organisation of the 4th meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments, an important event and excellent opportunity for dialogue and exchange of views between parliamentarians on topics of global interest, stressing that Serbia is firmly committed to advancing friendly relations and cooperation with Kazakhstan and the countries of the Eurasian region.
Nazarbayeva highlighted the importance of cooperation between the countries of the Eurasian region, stressing that dialogue breeds trust and trust leads to new projects that contribute to the economic growth and prosperity of nations.
The officials agreed that the political dialogue between Serbia and Kazakhstan was intensified and bolstered by recent top-tier visits and that both countries are very interested in strengthening their cooperation further. Gojkovic said that it is up to the parliamentarians as representatives of the people to advance the cooperation between the two countries and thanked Kazakhstan for its support in all the issues of vital importance for our country.

Gojkovic also met with the Chairman of the Mazhilis (lower house) of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin to discuss strengthening parliamentary and overall bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Kazakhstan and thanked Chairman Nigmatulin for his announced attendance of the 141st IPU Assembly in Belgrade, 13 – 17 October.

Gojkovic also discussed parliamentary and overall bilateral cooperation with the Parliament Speaker of Tajikistan Shukurjon Zuhurov who said that Tajikistan has always supported Serbia in matters of interest. Gojkovic invited the Tajik Parliament Speaker to visit Serbia and take part in the 141st IPU Assembly in Belgrade in October of this year.
