Gojkovic Meets with EU Commissioner for Enlargement
National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic met today with the EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, currently in visit to Serbia.
The Serbian Assembly Speaker said that opening the first negotiation chapters would send Serbia the message that its reforms are following the right course.
Hahn highlighted the significance of these reforms, saying that they are important for the modernisation of Serbia and the welfare of its citizens.
Gojkovic and Hahn emphasised the importance of the parliaments’ role in the regional cooperation conducted within the Euro-integration process.
After the meeting with Speaker Gojkovic, Hahn addressed the MPs at a special Assembly sitting.
