Gojkovic Denounces MP’s Actions

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic denounced the insults of Serbian Radical Party member Vjerica Radeta on the death of Hatidza Mehmedovic, head of the association “Mothers of Srebrenica”.

“I most severely condemn the MP’s awful and unacceptable insults, not worthy of a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and demeaning to the National Assembly’s dignity. The MP’s statements are unacceptable and do not in any way reflect the views and values the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia stands for. The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia is the representative body of a civilized and respectable people, which the citizens of Serbia are.

Please accept my sincerest condolences, expressed on the behalf of the National Assembly and myself, on the death of Hatidza Mehmedovic.

The National Assembly will continue to promote cooperation in the region and understanding for all who live here, to foster the stability and peace essential for the development of the region.”
