Fourth Sitting of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy

At the sitting held on 22 September 2024, the members of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy considered, in principle, the Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2024 Budget Law, Section 21 – Ministry of Economy, Section 28 – Ministry of Mining and Energy, Section 32 – Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade and Section 37 – Ministry of Tourism and Youth.

The Bill i.e. its individual sections, were presented by Minister of Economy Andrijana Mesarovic, Ivan Prvulovic of the Ministry of Finance, Budget Sector, Milena Kovacevic, Assistant Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade, Uros Kandic, State Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Youth and Veljko Stamenkovic Secretary of the Ministry of Mining and Energy.

Following a discussion, the Committee members accepted, in principle, by majority vote, the Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2024 Budget Law, Section 21 – Ministry of Economy, Section 28 – Ministry of Mining and Energy, Section 32 – Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade and Section 37 – Ministry of Tourism and Youth.

The Committee proceeded to select two representatives for the Commission for the conduct of the procedure for the selection of two candidates for members of the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia: Snezana Paunovic, Committee Chairperson, and Nikola Radisavljevic, Committee Deputy Chairman.

The Committee also considered the request to grant consent to the Rulebook on Internal Organisation and Job Systematisation in the Republic Commission for Energy Networks, presented by Prof. Dr Boris Dumnic, Commission President, after which the Committee decided to grant said consent.

Finally, the Committee ascertained the Working Group to ascertain the compliance of the participants of public competition for the election of bodies of the Commission for Protection of Competition with the conditions of said competition, in the following composition: Snezana Paunovic, Committee Chairperson as Head, with Nikola Radisavljevic, Committee Deputy Chairman, and Dragan Stanojevic, Committee member, as Working Group members.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Snezana Paunovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Prof. Dr Miroljub Albijanic, Dr Zivan Bajic, Dragana Arsic, Stanislava Janosevic, Nenad Krstic, Nikola Radosavljevic, Goran Nikolic, Miroslav Kondic, Zivota Starcevic, Dragan Stanojevic, Zarko Ristic and Prof. Dr Slobodan Cvejic.
