Fourth Sitting of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy

At the beginning of the fourth sitting of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy, held on 20 November, Committee Chairman Veroljub Arsic expressed condolences on the death of His Holiness Patriarch Irinej on behalf of the National Assembly and his own behalf, followed by a minute of silence.


The Committee proceeded to review the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Activity Report for the period 1 July – 30 September 2020.

The Report was presented by Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic. She said that the Ministry continued with its activities in accordance with the epidemiological measures and restrictions, which primarily affected the tourism sector. Matic said that the new situation really brought home the importance of the electronic communication and information society sector and highlighted how purposeful the investment into that sector was, amply evident in the education system and e-commerce.

The sitting was also attended by state secretaries Milos Cvetanovic, Stevan Nikcevic, Miroslav Knezevic and Uros Kandic.

The Committee unanimously adopted the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Activity Report for the period 1 July – 30 September 2020.
