Fourth Sitting of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee

At the sitting held on 6 November 2022, the members of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee considered the Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2022 Budget Law, Section 24 - Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, submitted by the Government.


The Bill was presented by Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jelena Tanaskovic, pointing out that the original budgetary allocation for this Ministry was 62 billion RSD, which was 4.7% of the total tax revenues of the Republic of Serbia budget.

The proposed rebalance allocates an additional 16.5 billion RSD to the Ministry, amounting to 78.5 billion RSD, or 5.3% of the total tax revenue of Republic of Serbia budget.

Addressing the Committee, representative of the Ministry of Finance Dragana Djordjevic pointed out that the chief goal of the 2022 budget rebalance is to adapt to the newly emerging negative global economic flows, the global energy crisis and the resulting significant price increases, and with the aim of preserving macroeconomic stability and maintaining the population standards.

Following a short discussion, the Committee members proposed by a majority of vote that the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending accept the Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2022 Budget Law, Section 24 - Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Marijan Risticevic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dijana Radovic, Milija Miletic, Momir Stojilkovic, Vesna Nedovic, Dr Nenad Mitrovic, Milica Obradovic, Dragan Jovanovic, Dejan Bulatovic, Zsombor Ujvari, Sanja Maric, Momcilo Vuksanovic, Veroljub Matic and Milovan Jakovljevic.
