Fourteenth Sitting of the Committee on Inter-Ethnic Relations
The Committee on Inter-Ethnic Relations held its fourteenth sitting on 24 March. The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Miletic Mihajlovic.
The Committee on Inter-Ethnic Relations held its fourteenth sitting on 24 March. The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Miletic Mihajlovic.
At the sitting, the Committee considered the proposal of the Sub-Committee on issues concerning the improvement of the position of Roma and implementation of the Decade of Roma to organize a public hearing on the Analysis of the current state of the implementation of the Strategy for the improvement of the position of Roma and implementation of the Decade of Roma. Sub-Committee Chairman Vitomir Mihajlovic proposed that a public hearing be held on the proposed topic to commemorate the International Day of the Roma.
The Committee members decided, by a majority of votes, to hold the public hearing at the National Assembly House on 8 April 2011. The Committee also charged the Sub-Committee on issues concerning the improvement of the position of Roma and implementation of the Decade of Roma to organize all the activities necessary for the preparation of the public hearing and the event itself.
