Foreign Affairs Committee Delegation Visits Georgian Parliament

A delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee paid a bilateral visit to the Georgian Parliament, 21-23 September 2017.


In the course of the visit the delegation met with the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze, Foreign Relations Committee Chairperson Sofio Katsarava, members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Serbia, as well as representatives of the executive and the Georgian Church.

The officials highlighted the many similarities between the two nations, affirmed the friendship between the two countries and expressed a mutual desire to strengthen overall bilateral relations, especially at the parliamentary level.

Both the Serbian and Georgian officials emphasized the mutual respect and strong support for their respective countries’ sovereignty and territorial integrity.

National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic said he was very pleased that both parliaments have established Serbia-Georgia friendship groups which can significantly contribute to the development of parliamentary relations.

The delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee comprised Dubravka Filipovski, Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Georgia and Committee member, Nikola Savic, member of the Committee and Parliamentary Friendship Group with Georgia, and Dusica Stojkovic, deputy member of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
