Upon being authorised by the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, the Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Vojislav Mihailovic, convened the First Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for 6 pm on Sunday 8 October.

The following agenda was proposed for the sitting:

- Proposal of the Decision Authorising the Remand in Custody of Milorad
Cvijovic, Assistant Republic Public Prosecutor, proposed by the
Administrative Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of
Serbia.

At the start of the sitting, at 8.55 pm, the acting chairman, Vojislav Mihailovic, noted that not enough deputies were present to confirm the agenda, and postponed the sitting for 11.30 am on Monday 9 October.

On the second day of the sitting (9 October), the National Assembly adopted the proposed agenda.

Concluding discussion on alleged infringements of the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly and the joint debate on the Proposal of the Decision, the acting chairman, Vojislav Mihailovic, convened a Voting Day sitting to be held immediately.

On Voting Day, the National Assembly adopted the Proposal of the of the Decision Authorising the Remand in Custody of Milorad Cvijovic, Assistant Republic Public Prosecutor, proposed by the Administrative Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, whereupon Mr Mihailovic concluded the First Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2006.
