First Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia convened
The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, convened the First Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for 12 pm on Wednesday 14 February 2007.The Assembly is to debate matters required by the Constitution, the Constitutional Act and the Rules of Procedure.
The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, convened the First Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for 12 pm on Wednesday 14 February 2007.
The Assembly is to debate matters required by the Constitution, the Constitutional Act and the Rules of Procedure. In addition, the parties and coalitions represented in parliament have agreed that the Assembly should, after verifying deputies’ mandates, discuss a proposed Resolution addressing the Comprehensive Proposal for the Kosovo Status Settlement, put forward by UN Special Envoy, Martti Ahttisaari, and setting out a framework for continued negotiations on the future status of Kosovo and Metohia.
According to the agenda, at its First Sitting, the National Assembly should is to elect its Chairperson, Vice-Chairpersons, and members of its working bodies, appoint its secretary, discuss the Ministries Bill, and elect the Government.
The First Sitting is to be held in the Greater Chamber of Assembly House, 13, Nikola Pasic Square.
