First Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Scheduled
Today, the National Assembly Speaker, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic Dejanovic scheduled the First Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for Thursday, 31 May 2012, starting at 10 am.
The following six-item agenda has been set for the First Sitting of the National Assembly, in line with Article 101 of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, Article 16 of the Law on the National Assembly and Article 4 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure: verification of the MPs’ mandates, election of the Speaker of the National Assembly, election of the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, appointment of the Secretary General of the National Assembly, election of members of the National Assembly’s working bodies and election of members of standing parliamentary delegations to international institutions.
The sitting will be held at the House of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 13 Nikola Pasic Square.

10.30 - the National Assembly Speaker meets with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (National Assembly Building, 14 Kralja Milana Street)

12.00 - public hearing organised by the Committee on the Rights of the Child on "The need to introduce a day care centre for children in conflict with the law, parents, school or community and the establishment of a special institution for treatment and rehabilitation" (National Assembly House, 13 Nikola Pasic Square, Small Hall)

15.30 - the Head of the PFG with Italy and The Holy See meets with the Italian delegation in the Central European Initiative Parliamentary Dimension (National Assembly House, 13 Nikola Pasic Square, hall 2)
