The following agenda was adopted for the First Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2008, convened by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dr Oliver Dulic, for Wednesday, 5 March, beginning at 10 a.m.

9. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Russian Federation on the Regulation of Obligations of ex-USSR in the settlement of goods exchange between ex-USSR and ex-SFRJ, submitted by the Government;

10. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Financial Contract between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank for the Clinical Centres/A Project, submitted by the Government;

11. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Contract of Guarantee between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank for the “Gazela Bridge Rehabilitation, submitted by the Government;

12. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Contract of Guarantee between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank for the Rehabilitation of Roads and Bridges –B2, submitted by the Government;

13. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Loan Agreement (“Additional Financing for the Traffic Reconstruction Project”) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, submitted by the Government;

14. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Loan Agreement (“Additional Financing for the Rehabilitation of the Irrigation Systems Project”) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, submitted by the Government;

15. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Loan Agreement (“Regional Development of Bor” project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, submitted by the Government;

16. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Financing Agreement (“Regional Development of Bor” project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Development Association, submitted by the Government;

24. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria on the opening of the border crossing Petacinci (the Republic of Serbia) – Bankja (the Republic of Bulgaria), submitted by the Government;

25. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria on the opening of the border crossing Novo Korito (the Republic of Serbia) – Salas (the Republic of Bulgaria), submitted by the Government;

26. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Convention between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Romania on the renewal, marking and maintenance of the border line, border markings on the mutual state border, submitted by the Government;

27. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Additional Protocol to the Geneva Convention of 12 August 1949 on the Adoption of an additional distinguishing mark (Protocol III), submitted by the Government;

28. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Councils of Ministers of Serbia and Montenegro and the Government of the Republic of Slovakia on cooperation in the field of defence, submitted by the Government;

29. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of defence between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria, submitted by the Government;

30. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, submitted by the Government;

31. The Bill on the Confirmation of the European Convention on cross-border television, submitted by the Government;

32. The Bill on the Confirmation of Convention No.187 of the International Labour Organisation on the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health, submitted by the Government;

33. The Bill on the Confirmation of Convention No.167 of the International Labour Organisation on the Safety and Health in Construction, submitted by the Government;

34. The Bill on the Confirmation of the International Convention Against Doping in Sport, submitted by the Government;

35. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Convention on the Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-Making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters, submitted by the Government;

36. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to International Carriage by Air, submitted by the Government;

37. The Bill on the protection of personal data, submitted by the Government;

38. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Loan Agreement (“Transitional Agriculture Reform Project”) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, submitted by the Government;

39. The Bill on the Confirmation of the Donation Agreement from the Global Environmental Protection Fund (“Transitional Agriculture Reform Project”) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development as the Agency for the Implementation of the Global Environmental Protection Fund, submitted by the Government.

At the beginning of the discussion on the Proposal of the Resolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on the preservation of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia in its relations with international organisations, particularly the European Union, Speaker Dulic called for a break in the activities, until the Government submits its opinion on the Proposal.

Extraordinary Parliamentary Elections Called

On 13 March 2008, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Miloljub Albijanic, informed the deputies at the National Assembly that, by his authority under article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, and the Government’s proposal with an explanatory note, on 13 March 2008 the President of the Republic dissolved the National Assembly by Decree and called parliamentary elections for 11 May 2008.

Thus, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly informed the members of parliament that the First Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2008, the continuation of which was scheduled for 13 March 2008 starting at 12 p.m., will not be held.
