The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Paja Momcilov and attended by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Health Dr Perisa Simonovic and Assistant Minister of Health Zorica Pavlovic and associates, representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Republic Health Insurance Fund and President of the Serbian Health Council Prof. Dr Dragan Delic and associates.

The Committee members considered the Bill on the 2012 Budget of the Republic of Serbia, with its accompanying proposals of decisions granting consent to the 2012 financial plans of: 1) the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance, 2) the Republic Health Insurance Fund, 3) the National Employment Service.

State Secretary Dr Perisa Simonovic elaborated the Bill, stressing that the 2012 budget for the Ministry of Health is a programme budget, stressing that the Ministry is one of five with a program budget which means full transparency of its project activities. In addition Simonovic stated that the funds allocated to the Ministry of Health for 2012 amount to 10.3 billion RSD.
