Committee Chairperson Vesna Marjanovic reminded that, according to the Law on Broadcasting, the National Assembly elects seven members from the ranks of MPs, and 12 at the proposal of the Republic Broadcasting Agency.

Goran Karadzic, representative of the Republic Broadcasting Agency’s Council, said that 20 candidates had applied to the public invitation called by the Council, after which the Council established the proposal bearing 12 candidates for Serbian Broadcasting Institution Programme Board members: Jasmina Lekovic, graduate psychologist; Nenad Milosavljevic, composer; Marko Vukomanovic, graduate graphic designer; Katarina Ostojic, journalist; Aleksandra Grkinic, senior undergraduate; Istvan Bodzoni, Bachelor of Laws; Tanja Santrac, graduate economist; Prof. Dr Zoran Vukovic, university professor; Tanja Dojcinovic, graduate philologist; Dragoljub Kojcic, Bachelor of Philosophy; Prof. Dr Zoran Avramovic, professor and Bratislav Grubacic, journalist – consultant.

The Committee Chairperson said that the parliamentary groups had nominated 11 MPs for Programme Board members. At the National Assembly Collegium it was agreed that the candidate list should bear the names of the following MPs: Marija Obradovic, Djordje Milicevic, Snezana Stojanovic Plavsic, Mira Petrovic, Jelena Trivan, Milica Radovic and Bojan Djuric.

The Committee proposed that the National Assembly should adopt the established candidate list for Serbian Broadcasting Institution Programme Board members by urgent procedure and include it into the agenda for the current, Ninth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly in 2012, since the former composition’s three-year mandate had expired on 11 December.
