Fifth Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 22 May, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government debated the set of judiciary laws in detail.


At the beginning of the sitting, MP Meho Omerovic retracted the amendments to articles 19 and 20 of the Bill on Enforcement of Penal Sanctions.
Pursuant to article 164, paragraph 1 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee discussed and decided not to accept the 14 amendments submitted to the Bill on Enforcement of Penal Sanctions.
Pursuant to article 164, paragraph 1 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee discussed and decided not to accept the amendment submitted to the Bill on Enforcement of Non-Custodial Sanctions and Measures.
Pursuant to article 164, paragraph 1 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee discussed and decided not to accept the five amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Criminal Procedure Code. Pursuant to article 157, paragraph 6 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government submitted an amendment to article 5 of the Bill and decided to accept it.
Pursuant to article 164, paragraph 1 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee discussed the 13 amendments submitted to the Bill on Attorney’s Office and decided to accept the amendment to article 15 submitted by MPs Snezana Malovic and Biljana Hasanovic Korac. Pursuant to article 157, paragraph 6 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government submitted an amendment to article 32 of the Bill and decided to accept it.
Pursuant to article 164, paragraph 1 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee discussed and decided not to accept the amendment submitted to the Bill on Mediation in Dispute Resolution.
Pursuant to article 164, paragraph 1 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee discussed and decided not to accept the three amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Civil Procedure Law.
The Committee members elected the Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Petar Petrovic member of the Commission for the implementation of the National Judicial Reform Strategy for the period 2013-2018, and Committee member Tanja Tomasevic Damjanovic his deputy.

The sitting was chaired by Petar Petrovic, Committee Chairman.
