Fifth Sitting of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija

On 22 May, the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija had its fifth sitting, closed to the public pursuant to item 21, paragraph 1 of the Decision on handling classified information.


The topic discussed was the security situation in Kosovo-Metohija after the refused extradition of Ramush Haradinaj to the Republic of Serbia’s and his release.

The Committee members reviewed the information received form the Ministry of the Interior, Office for Kosovo-Metohija, Security Information Agency and the Military Security Agency.

The Committee noted that the security situation in Kosovo-Metohija is unstable, complex and loaded with challenges, and that this trend would most probably continue especially until the elections in Kosovo-Metohija in June.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman MA Milovan Drecun.
