Events to mark the sixty-third anniversary of the execution of civilians by firing squad in Kragujevac during World War II

At the invitation of the mayor of Kragujevac, Veroljub Stevanovic, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republicof Serbia, Predrag Markovic, again attended the memorial service to mark the sixty-third anniversary of the execution of civilians by firing squad in Kragujevac during World War II.


At the invitation of the mayor of Kragujevac, Veroljub Stevanovic, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republicof Serbia, Predrag Markovic, again attended the memorial service to mark the sixty-third anniversary of the execution of civilians by firing squad in Kragujevac during World War II.
Mr Markovic laid a wreath on the memorial in Sumarice, and attended a prayer service for ‘the neomartyrs of Kragujevac’, led by John, Bishop of Sumadija, as well as the central event of the ‘Great School Period’, devoted to schoolchildren killed in Nazi reprisal raids.
