European Integrations Committee Delegation at Third Interparliamentary Meeting in Strasbourg

The Third Interparliamentary Meeting between the Delegation of the European Integrations Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the European Parliament’s Delegation for South-Eastern Europe shall be held in Strasbourg, on 16 and 17 December.



The Third Interparliamentary Meeting between the Delegation of the European Integrations Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the European Parliament’s Delegation for South-Eastern Europe shall be held in Strasbourg, on 16 and 17 December.

The Delegation and their European Parliament colleagues shall exchange opinions on the political situation in Serbia and the progress made within the stabilisation and association process. During the two-day meeting the officials shall discuss the functioning of the legal state in Serbia, the economic situation in Serbia and reforms implemented in this sphere, then the reform of the judiciary, the problems and progress achieved in the sphere, the reform of the police and progress achieved in the sphere, the fight against organised crime and the problem of corruption. They shall also discuss human and minority rights, as well as the media in Serbia. Regional cooperation and bilateral relations between Serbia and neighbouring countries shall also be one of the topics of discussion, as well as cooperation with the International War Crimes Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia.

After the completion of the interparliamentary dialogue, the head of the NARS Delegation, Laszlo Varga and the Head of the Delegation for South-Eastern Europe, Eduard Kukan, shall adopt a Joint Statement.
