The meeting focused on the role the Government, National Assembly and the civil society play in the membership talks between Serbia and the EU, and the importance of implementing reform in the fields of state administration, media, the fight against corruption and organised crime, economy, protection of human and minority rights and the environment.

The meeting was attended by Committee members Jadranka Joksimovic, Karolj Cizik, Ivan Bauer, Ivan Andric, Gordana Comic, Jelena Trivan, Laszlo Varga, Mladen Grujic, MP Srdjan Sajn, and the Head of the EU delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport.

After the meeting, European Integration Committee Chairperson Natasa Vuckovic and the Director-General of the EU Directorate-General for Enlargement Christian Danielsson addressed the media.
