European Commission Gives Positive Report on Serbian Parliament
In the Report the European Commission published today on Serbia’s progress in the European integration process, the Parliament’s work was assessed as positive and pro-active.
The European Commission also assessed the Parliament’s oversight of the executive and gave a positive opinion of the fact that the Prime Minister and his deputy take part in regular sessions, that the Government presents its annual activity programme and that the ministers submit quarterly reports to the relevant committees.
The Parliamentary committees have developed a more pro-active approach. The European Integration Committee continued its reviewing of reports submitted by the Government with the active support of the relevant assembly service. The European Commission also gave recommendations about the independent regulatory bodies.
