European Commission Delegation Visits National Assembly
A delegation of the European Commission headed by Stefano Sannino, Deputy Director General of the European Commission’s Directorate for Enlargement and comprising Lars Erik Forsberg from the Enlargement Directorate’s Unit for Serbia, Jana Sindelkova Lolic, Deputy Chief of Staff of EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule and Thomas Gnocchi Head of the Political Section of the European Union Delegation to Serbia, talked with Nada Kolundzija, head of the Parliamentary Group For European Serbia and Natasa Vuckovic, member of the European Integrations Committee, at the National Assembly House.
A delegation of the European Commission headed by Stefano Sannino, Deputy Director General of the European Commission’s Directorate for Enlargement and comprising Lars Erik Forsberg from the Enlargement Directorate’s Unit for Serbia, Jana Sindelkova Lolic, Deputy Chief of Staff of EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule and Thomas Gnocchi Head of the Political Section of the European Union Delegation to Serbia, talked with Nada Kolundzija, head of the Parliamentary Group For European Serbia and Natasa Vuckovic, member of the European Integrations Committee, at the National Assembly House.
Greeting the guests, Natasa Vuckovic briefed them on the National Assembly’s work and current legislative activities. Nada Kolundzija informed the guests that the National Assembly had created a Working Group for the Drafting of the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Election of Deputies and a Working Group for the Drafting of the Decision Proposal amending and modifying the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, made up of deputies, representatives of the parliamentary groups.
Natasa Vuckovic stressed that in 2011 that National Assembly would particularly focus on intensifying cooperation with the European Parliament and improving bilateral parliamentary cooperation with European Union member states.
The officials agreed that contacts and cooperation between European and Serbian institutions are extremely important for the realisation of the Serbian Government’s Action Plan.
