He expressed satisfaction that in the last ten years environmental protection has become a top issue in our country, saying that all state bodies – from the Government, National Assembly to the independent state institutions, work together as partners on the issue.

Sandra Dokic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Vladimir Valdes Garcia, head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia Democratisation Department, and MA Zoran Pasalic, Serbian Ombudsman, gave keynote addresses.

Vujadinovic also participated in the panel dedicated to the protection of the right to a healthy environment from the aspect of legislative, executive and judiciary power and independent institutions. He said that in the last ten years the budgetary allocations for environmental protection have increased 18 fold. In addition, legislative regulations have also been the focus of intensive work with the National Assembly passing over 20 laws concerning the field, said Milimir Vujadinovic highlighting to the importance of the Environmental Protection Committee and the National Assembly’s control role.
