At the sitting held on 24 November 2008, the Committee on Justice and Administration discussed the amendments submitted to the bills amending and modifying the Law on Civil Servants and on the Public Prosecution.

The Committee unanimously ruled to propose that the National Assembly reject all seven amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Civil Servants.

At the Government’s proposal, the Committee discussed and adopted all three amendments to the Bill on the Public Prosecution and unanimously ruled to propose that the National Assembly accept them as amendments of the Committee on Justice and Administration.

At the proposal of the Grand Personnel Council, the Committee discussed and adopted two decisions on the termination of judicial office submitted by Slavko Bercan, judge of the District Court in Novi Sad, at his own request, and Milica Nikolic, judge of the District Court in Krusevac, due to mandatory retirement.

The Committee also discussed the Decision Proposal of the High Judicial Council on the termination of duty of Milorad Cvijovic, Deputy Republic Public Prosecutor and Decision Proposal on the termination of duty of Snezana Milanovic Josimov, Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Second Municipal Public Prosecutors Office in Belgrade and decided that the proposed decisions be forwarded to the National Assembly for ruling.
