Eighth Sitting of the Committee on Science and Technological Development

At the sitting held on 22 and 29 April, the members of the Committee on Science and Technological Development considered the particulars of the Bill on Technical Requirements for Products and Conformity Assessment and the Bill on Standardisation.



At the sitting held on 22 and 29 April, the members of the Committee on Science and Technological Development considered the particulars of the Bill on Technical Requirements for Products and Conformity Assessment and the Bill on Standardisation.

A total of 3 amendments were submitted to the Bill on Technical Requirements for Products and Conformity Assessment. The Government of the Republic of Serbia accepted none of them, and the Committee on Science and Technological Development rejected 2 of the amendments and will vote on the third in the continuation of the sitting.

The deputies had submitted a total of 31 amendments to the Bill on Standardisation. The Government of the Republic of Serbia submitted its opinion regarding 30 of the amendments, which it rejected, but did not submit an opinion on 1 amendment. The Committee considered and rejected 19 of the amendments, and will continue the debate on the particulars and vote on the remaining amendments in the continuation of the sitting.

In the continuation of the sitting, 29 April, the Committee Chairman informed the Committee members that the Legislative Committee had rejected the amendment submitted by deputy Dragan Acimovic to article 3 of the Bill on Technical Requirements for Products and Conformity Assessment as incomplete, so the Science Committee shall not vote on it.

The Committee members continued the discussion on the particulars of the Bill on Standardisation rejecting the amendments submitted by deputies Goran Mihajlovic, Momcilo Duvnjak, Petar Jojic, Srdjan Mijaljevic and Dobroslav Prelic to articles 3 and 4 of the Bill.

The Committee shall vote on the remaining amendments to the Bill on Standardisation in the continuation, on 30 April 2009.

In the continuation of the sitting, on 30 April 2009, the Committee members completed the discussion on the particulars of the Bill on Standardisation. The Government of the Republic of Serbia forwarded its opinion regarding the amendment submitted by deputy Zoran Antic to article 10 of the Bill, rejecting it. The Committee rejected the remaining 7 amendments the deputies had submitted to the Bill.
