The Committee on Kosovo and Metohia held its eighth sitting on 27 December, chaired by the Committee Chairman, Vladimir Milentijevic. The sitting was attended by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Kosovo and Metohia, Dusan Prorokovic.

The Committee members and State Secretary Prorokovic discussed the current issues and problems in AP Kosovo and Metohia.

The Committee unanimously denounced the attack on the family home of G17 PLUS Deputy Stojanka Petkovic and requested information from the MUP on the perpetrators and organisers of the incident. The Committee members requested answers from the authorised ministries to the questions of who is building illegal roads and border crossings, as well as an investigation of the business dealings of PE “Kosmet Prevoz” from Kosovska Mitrovica with the private company “Kolasin Prevoz” from Zubin Potok, and an investigation of the sale of property and office space of RMHK “Trepca” and the manner in which the sale of lead concentrate and lead powder was conducted.

The Committee also requested information from the MUP of the Republic of Serbia on the traffic accident of 23 January 2003, involving member of parliament Marko Jaksic.
