Eighth Session of the First Regular Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2003

The following agenda was adopted for the Eighth Session of the First Regular Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2003, convened by the President of the National Assembly, Natasa Micic, for 12 noon on Tuesday 27 May:1. Bill Amending the Act on on Birth, Marriage and Death Registries, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia;2. Bill on the Right to Mortgage Movable Property Entered into the Register, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia;3. Bill Modifying the Act on the Securities and Other Financial Instruments Market, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia;4. Proposal of a Decision Amending and Modifying the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, submitted by Deputy Bojan Pajtic;5. Bill on Responsibility for Human Rights Abuses, submitted by Deputies Ivan Andric, Vlastimir Budimirovic, Dr.


The following agenda was adopted for the Eighth Session of the First Regular Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2003, convened by the President of the National Assembly, Natasa Micic, for 12 noon on Tuesday 27 May:

1. Bill Amending the Act on on Birth, Marriage and Death Registries, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia;
2. Bill on the Right to Mortgage Movable Property Entered into the Register, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia;
3. Bill Modifying the Act on the Securities and Other Financial Instruments Market, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia;
4. Proposal of a Decision Amending and Modifying the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, submitted by Deputy Bojan Pajtic;
5. Bill on Responsibility for Human Rights Abuses, submitted by Deputies Ivan Andric, Vlastimir Budimirovic, Dr. Milos Lucic, Ljubisa Kesic, Sandor Melank, Sima Radulovic, Professor Dr. Mirko Rosic, Professor Dr. Dragor Hiber and Natasa Micic.

On the first day of the session, the National Assembly discussed the Bill Amending the Act on on Birth, Marriage and Death Registries in principle and in particular.

In the afternoon part of the session, the Deputies discussed the Bill on the Right to Mortgage Movable Property Entered into the Register in principle, and then went on to commence debating amendments submitted to this Bill.

At the beginning of the second day of work (28 May), President Natasa Micic informed the National Assembly of the formation of the Union of Vojvodina Magyars Deputies' Group. Anton Biaci was appointed chairman of the Deputies' Group, while Dr. Laslo Torde was appointed vice-chairman.

The National Assembly discussed the particulars of the Bill on the Right to Mortgage Movable Property Entered into the Register.

In the afternoon part of the session, the Deputies concluded debate in principle and on the particulars of the Bill Modifying the Act on the Securities and Other Financial Instruments Market, and then went on to commence joint debate on the Proposal of a Decision Amending and Modifying the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

On the third day of work (29 May), the Deputies concluded joint debate on the Proposal of a Decision Amending and Modifying the Rules of Procedure. When work resumed, initial debate was held on the Bill on Responsibility for Human Rights Abuses, and discussion of amendments submitted to the Bill commenced.

The President of the National Assembly, Natasa Micic, declared the fourth day of work (30 May) Voting Day for items discussed at the session.

Before voting, the Deputies discussed the particulars of the Bill on Responsibility for Human Rights Abuses.

Having adopted as wholes the Bill Amending the Act on on Birth, Marriage and Death Registries, the Bill on the Right to Mortgage Movable Property Entered into the Register, the Bill Modifying the Act on the Securities and Other Financial Instruments Market, the Proposal of a Decision Amending and Modifying the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, and the Bill on Responsibility for Human Rights Abuses, the National Assembly concluded the Eighth Session of its First Regular Sitting in 2003.
