The following agenda was set for the Eighth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, convened by the Chairman of the Assembly, Predrag Markovic, for Friday 15 July 2005, at the request of 105 deputies:

- Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Budget System, proposed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia,
- Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2005, along with its associated proposals of decisions granting consent to:

a) Decision Amending the 2005 Financial Plan of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Employees;

b) Decision Amending the 2005 Financial Plan of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Farmers;

c) Decision Amending the 2005 Financial Plan of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Private Entrepreneurs;

d) Decision Amending the 2005 Financial Plan of the Republic Health Insurance Agency, and

e) Decision Amending and Modifying the 2005 Financial Plan of the National Employment Service, all proposed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia,

- Termination of office, dismissal and appointment of judicial officials,
- Proposals of Decisions Amending the Decision on the Election of Members of Committees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, proposed by deputies Tomislav Nikolic, chairman of the Serbian Radical Party Deputies’ Group, Milos Aligrudic, chairman of the Democratic Party of Serbia Deputies’ Group, and Miloljub Albijanic, chairman of the G17 Plus Deputies’ Group.

The deputies adopted a motion to conduct joint discussion in principle on the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Budget System and the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Budget of the Republic of Serbia, along with proposals of decisions granting consent.

At the start of the second day (18 July), the Minister of Finance in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Mladjan Dinkic, presented the proposed amendments and modifications contained in the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Budget System and the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Budget of the Republic of Serbia in 2005.

The National Assembly then went on to hold joint discussion in principle of the two Bills.

On the third day of the session (19 July), the National Assembly concluded joint discussion on the proposals of Decisions on the termination of office, dismissal and appointment of judicial officials and joint discussion on proposals of Decisions on the election of members of Committees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

On the fourth day of the session (20 July), the National Assembly concluded discussing particulars of the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Budget System.

During the morning part of the fifth day of the session (21 July), the National Assembly discussed the particulars of the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2005.

The afternoon part of the session was declared Voting Day. The National Assembly adopted, in its entirety, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2005, along with its associated proposals of decisions granting consent to the Decision Amending the 2005 Financial Plan of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Employees, the Decision Amending the 2005 Financial Plan of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Farmers, the Decision Amending the 2005 Financial Plan of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Private Entrepreneurs, the Decision Amending the 2005 Financial Plan of the Republic Health Insurance Agency, and the Decision Amending and Modifying the 2005 Financial Plan of the National Employment Service.

The National Assembly then went on to adopt several decisions on the termination of office, dismissal and appointment of judicial officials. After being appointed, the Republic Public Prosecutor, Slobodan Jankovic, took the oath of office before the National Assembly.

The National Assembly also adopted proposals of decisions amending the Decision on the Election of Members of Committees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

As the National Assembly had discussed and voted on all items from the agenda, the acting chairman concluded the session of the Eighth Extraordinary Sitting of the Republic of Serbia in 2005.
