The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic talked today to the Chairman of the Task Group drafting the NARS Rules of Procedure and Chairman of the Justice and Administration Committee Bosko Ristic.

At the meeting they agreed on the further activities of this assembly working body since the Law envisages the drafting of new Rules of Procedure so as to improve the functioning of the highest legislative body.

The Assembly Speaker stressed that both believed it necessary to involve relevant institutions, international and domestic organisations, as well as individuals in order to make the work on the Rules of Procedure more comprehensive and adequate.

In line with article 73 of the Law on the NARS, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia should adopt new Rules of Procedure compliant with the provisions of the Law within 120 days from the day said law came into force (the Law on NARS came into force on 27 February 2010).
