Diaspora and Serbs in the Region Committee Condemns Attack on Serbian Orthodox Grammar School Students in Zagreb
The Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia severely condemns the attack by unidentified persons on the students of the Serbian Orthodox Grammar School Kantakuzina Katarina Brankovic and the edifice of the grammar school in the centre of Zagreb.
We expect the Serbian Foreign Ministry to send a protest note to the Croatian Government demanding that the attackers be found and dully punished. The attack that happened several days ago is a cause of alarm and fear among the students and professors of the Grammar school and among the clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the entire Serb community in Croatia.
We expect the Croatian authorities to ensure full personal and property safety to all of its citizens, no matter what their nationality or religious affiliation.
We also expect the Croatian authorities to urgently find the ordering parties and perpetrators of this act of vandalism and penalise them in accordance with the law.
